Loving this challenge from Scrap the Girls
It inspired me to have a bit of fun with this layout and I really enjoyed it.
So this is the Mood Board that was provided by Scrap the Girls.
I used the image in the top left 'Tank Girl' to create my layout.
This is what I created:
I have been trying to use up some of my many, many scraps of paper left over from other layouts; so all patterned paper used on this layout is from my scrap box.
I especially love the Bam Pop paper featuring the parachuting monsters and I will be very sad once I have used this all up.
Products I used for this layout:
Deco Art Media - Shimmer Mist - Turquoise
Cosmic Shimmer - Gilding Paste - Ocean Teal
Scraps:
Bam Pop - Parachuting Monsters
Sassafras Lass - border - Sweetly Smitten - Dainty Sketch
Pink stripey - brand unknown
Orange die cut edge - brand unknown
Background created with Andy Skinner Stamps and Cosmic Shimmer Red Lava (sprayed onto a baby wipe and used as a stamp pad)
Sissix Thinlets - My Life
Hobbycraft - Puffy Alpha Stickers - Green
Pink Paislee - Fancy Free - Stickers - Love This
Project Life - Kiwi - Stickers
PDQ - Chipboard - RAD - Arrow and butterfly
The two big hearts were cut of photo-paper I'd used to pick up left over cosmic shimmer.
Sequins
I punched the corners with a star punch.
I hope you enjoyed looking at my layout.

Scrap the Boys - Mood Board - Wandering Star
Challenge time again..I love this challenge from Scrap the Boys.
I knew just the photo I wanted to use to accompany the layout. The star inspired to use some new stamps and to ink them up with Gelatos spritzed with water.
This is what I created:
After going through my stash I found
these veneer shapes which I thought were perfect for the challenge. I
had also bought some narrow (3mm) masking tape from CRE8 which I wanted to use on the 1st layout I could.
This is the first layout in a good while where I haven't used patterned paper in one way or another. This made me realise that the first thing I nearly always turn to is patterned paper. The only pre-patterned thing on this layout is the torn washi tape I have added.
Products used:
Studio Calico - Wood veneer shapes
Gelatos
Washi tape - Paperchase
PDQ Chipboard shapes - RAD
CRE8 masking tape - 3mm
Basic Grey - small details - Oxford - decorative stickers
Thickers - Alphas - Happy Life - Blue
Random buttons and brad
Hessian string
I hope you enjoy looking at my layout.

Tuesday Morning Sketch - Card Challenge
Well then....I thought I would take part in a card challenge. It's only the second card challenge I have taken part in.
I really enjoyed taking part and intend to do more!
I used a challenge from Tuesday Morning Sketches.
Here is the sketch
I used mainly scraps from my leftover from scrap-booking, a butterfly from a pack of butterflies from the £ shop and flowers from a big pack from Hobbycraft. I am really pleased with the outcome and would love to know your thoughts.
Bye for now

Baby Girl Birth Card
No challenge this time, but needed to make a new baby card as two work colleagues have just had their second child - a baby girl :)
I've never made a baby girl card before so I predictably wanted to go with something traditionally girly.
I love the lacy, sparkly and girly colours I used for this card and I am pleased with the outcome.
I inked up the edges of the lacy paper with Distress Ink - Worn Lipstick, used random bling & paper, a flower and ribbon. I stamped the Octopus using Ranger Archival Ink - Jet Black and coloured using Spectrum Noir alcohol pens.
I love this super cute card.

Ice Cream Face - Scrap the Boys Challenge
Challenge Time! This time its with Scrap the Boys
The first (on the left) is the colour challenge and they second was to choose a cut file to incorporate, as you can see I chose the heart image. I don't have a cutting machine so I just printed it out and 'very' carefully cut it out by hand.
Here is what I made of the challenge
I particularly like the idea of using the cut file and loved using scraps of paper to fill in the gaps in the heart. I love this picture of my super cute grandson (I'm biased) eating an ice cream on a walk out we had one Sunday.
Products I used for this layout
Deco Art - Shimmer Mister - Turquoise
Cosmic Shimmer - Peacock Green
American Crafts - Heavy Weight Card - Tropical Blue
Scenic Route - Garden Grove - Die cut arrow
American Crafts - Thickers Happy Life - Dark blue
Dusty Attic - Industrial Barbed Stars
Random brad
Colour texture wax
Random chipboard pieces
Random scrap piece of paper (for heart)
Random rub on (ice cream)
Alcohol ink pen used to edge photograph, blue card and arrow.
Cuttlebug folders used: to emboss blue paper
to emboss chipboard on bottom left of page
I hope you enjoy my layout and look forward to your comments.
Thanks

Teacher's Bothy Trip - The Studio Challenge - Recipe
Hi there
It's time for me to another chance to take part in another challenge. This time I used a challenge from The Studio Challenges
Recipe Challenge
Ingredients: 3 photos 2 stripes of Washi tape Sequins Paint Hearts
Method: First take 3 photos, add 2 stripes of washi tape, mix it up with a spoon of sequins, let it cook slowly with some paint and serve it with a sprinkling of hearts.
This is what I made of it!
The photos relate to a cycle trip we undertook in May/June 2018. This involved getting a ferry (in reality a wee boat for people and bikes) from the Isle of Mull to the Isle of Ulva.
We then cycled through the Isle of Ulva to get to the Isle of Gometra which is connected via a wee metal bridge (which sometimes gets swept away, lol)
The whole journey from arriving on the Isle of Ulva to getting to the Teachers Bothy on the Isle of Gometra was only about 8 miles. However the track we rode on was very uneven, very muddy and very challenging.
As you can see from the photos we enjoyed some beautiful scenery along the way though which made it worth while.
The Isle of Gometra has only a few permanent inhabitants and while it is only approx 1.64 sq mile in size you're unlikely to see a soul while you're there. We thoroughly enjoyed the isolation.
For this layout I used:
Ingredients: 3 photos - of our island hopping trip across Ulva and Gometra 2 stripes of Washi tape - Paperchase Sequins - Random Paint - Liquid Pearls – Ruby Red Hearts -
American Crafts – Foam Hearts/Random chipboard heart
I hope you enjoyed my layout.
Thanks
Lynn

Tobha Mor - Stuck Sketches
I loved this sketch from Stuck Sketches and couldnt resist having a go.
The photos I used I have been trying to scrap for ages and just couldn't get the right vibe.
I adapted the sketch to give the photos a more linear approach
and this is what I made of it!
The photos are of a hostel and surrounding area in Howmore (Tohba Mor in Gaelic), South Uist, Outer Hebrides. We have stayed here a couple of times and loved it.
The journalling reads: We have been here on our cycling adventures. A hostel small in size but big in character.

Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty
I want a bit glitter crazy with this layout
I am totally loving having a grandaughter after growing up with no sisters, having a son and a grandson it is a joy to buy clothes that are pink, frilly and glittery.
This is my granddaughter Isabelle.
I loved the purple cast on the photo and used it as inspriation for the colour for the layout.
Kielder
I love this photo of my grandson Jacob. He nearly always has a happy smiley face.
We'd been staying in the Youth Hostel in Keilder and had a cycle around part of the Kielder Resevior.
My grandson was on a tag-a-long bike and the spray from the back wheel of the bike in front was pebble-dashing his face with mud. I immediatley took a photo (18/10/14)
I used stamped gears to symbolise the bike element of the story and of course the journalling card with 'sweet ride' on it. Arrows were used to indicate sped and the white splash to indicate the water element of the story.

Isabelle's First Day
Isabelle's First Day Layout
I used a sketch challenge from Stuck Sketches to put together the layout and a colour challenge from Colour Stories Inspiration. (see below)
This is the very first layout I have done of my brand new grandaughter
Isabelle. I hope you'll all agree she is gorgeous (I know I'm biased of
course) Isabelle weighed in at a whopping 9lb 8oz, so is truly a
'bouncing baby'. When my grandson was born I did a 'Jacob's first day'
layout so it was only fitting I did the same for Isabelle.
This is the sketch that inspired the layout
Journalling on the back of the birth details tag reads:
Look at this Craftmanship - 10 perfect fingers, 10 perfect toes, beautiful eyes and a sweet little nose, cute as a button and as sweet as can be = one brand new girl in our family.
Hope you had fun viewing my layout.

Don't Let Go
Don't Let Go
This is a bit of a mix up for me as I've not really tried mixed media before. I didn't really intend to do mixed media it just 'sort of' happened. I ended up glueing my paper onto some scrap cardboard as until then it did not have the 'structural integrity' to hold up to the sewing and whatnot.
I've had lots of fun playing around with bits and pieces and slapping on paint and mist. I just sort of went with the flow and saw what happened. Let me know what you think!
I put the layout together with the help of Colour Stories Inspiration challenge #143 (below)
Scrap it with a Song Pop challenge - Demi Lovato's - Let it Go
I used the title of the song to inspire my title of Don't Let Go
I didn't use the sketch ahove - instead I used the one below from Show Us Your Stuff as inspiration. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

Ain't it Fun
Ain't it Fun
I hope everyone has had a easy week and will have a nice relaxing weekend. I brighted up my week by creating this colourful layout with the help of Colour Stories Inspiration #142 and Scrap it with a Song - Rock Challenge song - Ain't it Fun.
Colour scheme - All colours used
Evidence: Arrows, Stars & Circles
Testimony: Insp word - Team
I had great fun scapping this layout and reliving the memories from this photograph.
The photo is of my son and his 3 friends playing in a neighbours back
garden. The four of them were 'as thick as thieves' growing up and
playing together and used to get up to all sorts of mischief.
I love using masks and decided to use two on this layout and spongue ink
through them. I also used something called 'Wordle' which creates 'word
cloud' using the words you type in.
For the title I decided to include the little letters on the big letter of the word fun.
I plugged the holes of most of the buttons with liquid pearls in contrasting colours.
The multicoloured 'masked' bricks reflect the bricks in the photograph and the masked circles represent the sunshine they were playing in on the day.
