Time for 5 combined Challenges

Love to Scrap - create a project featuring something that flies (owl image from Squigglefly)

Once Upon a Sketch - Sketch Challenge (see sketch below)

This is what I created

 I had a lot of fun using embossing powders on this layout, which is something I should do more often.  I used an owl image from Squiqqlefly to signify learning and the stars represent how fantastic my grandson is and and how much he has learnt in the last year. (he is such a star!)

The used the sequins as they remind me of how 'sparkly' my grandson is each and every time I see him.

I also used: Ledger paper, paper clip, alphas, numbers.

I used a sketch from Once upon a Sketch as the basis of the layout but I decided to link the photos together and add the owl as an additional element (representing wisdom) on the top right of the page.

The stamps I used: Banana Frog Stamps - Super Stars and Sassafras Lass Stamps - Mini Boy Talk - All Boy.

Shake the Excess - Scrap it with a Song

Scrap it with a Song - are already halfway through the first month of 2013, so let's continue our "Year in Review". All this month we're scrapping along to some of our favorite tunes from 2012...

I chose the lyrics "Shake the Excess" for the title of my layout.

This layout is about my brother and me when we where at my mams surprise 60th Birthday Party.

I used a colour challenge prompt from Colour Challenge Inspiration and used a sketch from Stuck Sketches.

I have highlighted the items of used:
